I Say, Bicycles!

I prefer older architecture. One of my favourite types is the architecture of the Industrial Revolution. I adore the beautiful, awe-inspiring factories and railway stations of this period. I had little understanding, however, of those who romanticise the sordid modern railways and infrastructure. I found the fascination with modern railways almost perverse, and I remained thoroughly baffled by it until one day in April, when I happened to cycle past a railway bridge at twilight. I was awestruck. It was a bridge like any other, it was nothing I hadn’t seen countless times before, but that evening it was beautiful. The champagne I had previously might have influenced me slightly, but it was a pleasant experience all the same.

I’m Not Gay, I Am Me

I'm Not Gay, I Am Me

Hi there, I’m Toby. I am eighteen years old and I am attending my last year at Kungsholmens Gymnasium. I like to eat, sleep, spend time with friends, cuddle with my dog and play computer games. So nothing out of the ordinary, really. The only thing out of the ordinary about me, perhaps, is that I happen to be homosexual. Now I know what you are thinking, and let me get one thing straight. I am not one of those stereotypical homosexuals. In fact, I kind of see myself as the opposite. For some reason though, whenever I tell someone I am gay for the first time I continually notice how many try to relate me to the stereotype anyway.

Finding your soulmate

heart

“You guys broke up? Don’t worry, there are plenty of other fish in the sea.” It’s a common saying, meant to be comforting and consoling. It’s also undeniable that there are billions of people on this earth. One of which who you might very well meet and fall madly in love with like one of those cheesy low-budget movies you watch when you’re home sick from school. But what are the real chances of meeting your soulmate? Are there really plenty of metaphorical fish in the metaphorical sea? Time for some hard-core statistics.
